[ ECOHYDROS among the 10 Cantabrian biotech companies selected by the IDEA Spark Program] for training at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston.
Dra. Laura Miralles [ECOHYDROS’ Department of Environmental Genetics and eDNA expert] attended the first selection phase in Boston between 21 and 23 May 2019, under the auspices of SODERCAN.
Selected biotechnology companies have the opportunity to share their projects through different social networks and events during their stay in Boston by expanding their network of contacts outside of Spain. Selected participants of the IDEA Spark programme (maximum of two) will be invited to join, in a second phase, the annual IDEA 2 Global Programme. To this purpose, MIT itself will determine those projects participating in IDEA Spark that best fit the objectives established in this second phase.
This follow-up program allows for deeper engagement and provides members with more extensive tutoring over a six-month period. Teams have met this week in Boston for an initial workshop to set the stage and expectations.
MIT is considered one of the best universities in the world and is a referent in research activity and capacity. It has 76 Nobel laureates among its researchers and faculty. His important research activity in Health Sciences has placed him at the forefront of the planet.
