[ NEW ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FOR FISH HANDLING IN HYDRAULIC INSTALLATIONS ]
The main objective of the project is to build and investigate the functionality and industrial viability of a new electrical system to prevent fish from entering hydraulic infrastructures such as diversions, intakes and channels, or to facilitate their access to postage structures.
In vitro construction and validation of a prototype electrical system to prevent the passage of fish, which has a number of innovative features that increase effectiveness and reduce side effects compared to other existing solutions. It involves the setting up of a model for the propagation of electric fields in water in order to optimise the design of the electric barrier in each case of application.
To carry out this project, ECOHYDROS has received aid co-financed by the European Regional Development Programme through the ERDF 2014-2020 Operational Programme in Cantabria through the INNOVA 2016 grant line.
